Role :
The Project Manager for Overhead Tower Line will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects related to the construction and maintenance of overhead power transmission lines. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project challenges and solutions.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Maintain effective communication with all parties throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Facilitate team meetings, set performance expectations, and provide guidance and support.
Site Management:
- Oversee construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and quality.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring all expenditures are tracked and controlled.
- Identify and procure necessary materials, tools, and equipment for project execution.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits and approvals.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and meeting minutes.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in project management, specifically in overhead transmission line construction or related infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical transmission systems, design principles, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and AutoCAD or similar design tools.
