Role :
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and testing of electrical systems in a hotel construction project in Seychelles. The role involves ensuring that all electrical work is completed on time, within budget, and meets the required quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to integrate electrical systems into the overall project design.
- Assess project requirements and prepare technical specifications for electrical works.
Project Execution:
- Supervise and manage the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and communication systems.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor progress and quality of electrical work, making adjustments as needed to meet project goals.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure high standards of workmanship.
Testing and Commissioning:
- Develop and execute testing procedures for all electrical installations to ensure functionality and safety.
- Perform inspections and testing of electrical systems, identifying and rectifying any issues or deficiencies.
- Coordinate with local authorities for inspections and approvals.
- Document all testing and commissioning activities, ensuring all systems are ready for operational use.
- Maintain all the partial tests and complete tests witness documents signed by PMC/ consultant/ Client.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of electricians and technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and address any challenges.
- Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
Project Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, specifications, and progress reports.
- Prepare regular status reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all project documentation is compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on-site.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
