ROLE
Overall responsibility to plan, organize, coordinate and control the daily activities of the plantation such as land preparation, crop husbandry, irrigation and all other tillage works, estimates the labour force requirement, prepare and control the annual operating budget of own section, frequent visit of field activities and give technical assistance to subordinates.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primarily looking after complete farm management for RICE Farm
- Plan, Manage crops husbandry practices and work process in the crop cultivation.
- Supervises the activities of the section such as land preparation/cultivation, planting, weeding, fertilization, irrigation and other day to day field activities;
- Select suitable Field crop varieties for the area
- Develop plans for irrigation draining and soil amendment
- prepares integrated pest and disease control program
- Checks and approves sections financial issues
- Sets weekly and monthly work plans to the subordinates, supervises and evaluates their performances including their attendances;
- Prepares and controls the annual operating budget and the labour force estimation for the project;
- Controls the production cost through supervising quality and quantity of works performed;
- Requests protective devices, materials, Agrochemicals and tools required as the project budget and control their proper utilization;
- Develops, implements, and maintains improved management systems with the view to create opportunities for improvements;
- Takes due responsibility and accountability for managing and controlling resources and property allocated for work within area of responsibility;
- Handle labour cases and grievances and manages to settle amicably;
- Creates and maintains conducive working environment that enhances workers involvement in achieving organizational objectives;
- Prepares and submits periodical activity status and special reports as necessary on time;
